ABOUT CRESFEST

WHAT IS CRESFEST?

CresFest is a folk and roots music festival in the forested gold rush town of Creswick, nestled between Daylesford and Ballarat.

The whole town (gold rush-era buildings, local pubs, cafes and outdoor venues) come alive with intimate performances by celebrated contemporary folk and roots artists and countless ways to join in the fun: blackboard concerts, sessions, family bushdance, busking festival, youth stage, music and dance workshops for all-ages, locals talent quest, and more.

Or sit back and enjoy the performances, sample local wine and produce, explore the history of the town, and take advantage of premium accommodation options.

Creswick is just 1.5 hours’ drive from Melbourne, between Daylesford and Ballarat. It is accessible via V/Line on the Maryborough route.

THE CRESFEST STORY

CresFest exists to celebrate the town of Creswick, its people, and the joy of participating in music and dance by creating a festival that showcases artistic talent, community ingenuity and the natural beauty of our town.

Those involved include: Creswick Neighbourhood House, Creswick Theatre Company, Creswick Folk Club, YouThrive Victoria, Mungo Park Music and Leavers Hotel. Support has already been offered by RACV Goldfields Resort, IGA Creswick, Pavilion Arts Creswick, Creswick Railway Workshops Association, The American Hotel, Business and Tourism Creswick and Community Music Victoria. Further engagement is being sought from businesses across our town.

The CresFest team are working in many ways to bring more dance and music to Creswick. Watch this space for details of future CresFest events.
